It's been a great week of March Madiness for us who enjoy the honorable game of basketball. I guess a lot of you had a lot of things to do this week, since we had no responses to the Mystery Photo, and no e-mail about other things except a few of you who are Turtles and answered my challenge.
This week we move back to the living room with the TV light sitting on the back of the tube-powered black and white TV set, complete with TV aerial on the roof. See if you can answer this week's mystery.
Please include your name and class year with your e-mail to me.

This Week's
Mystery Photo
No responses to this last week, so we'll try it again. You don't have to answer all the questions, just one to send in a reply.
Speaking of parties and dance music, not all of the dances were done to slow songs. Here's another photo submitted by the Wynn boys. It came with the following attachment. Can you fill in the blanks?
Here's a photo taken at _____________ 's house on Virginia Boulevard in June of 19___.
I'm sure everyone recognizes the mad male dancer as _______________, already a party guy at 14 and high steppin' his way through high school. Does anyone recognize anyone else?
E-mail us your answers.

Last week we posed the question to see how many of you remember the correct answer to "Are you a turtle?". Several of you wrote in with the answer. Below is a little information that was found on the web.
A Brief History of the Ancient & Honorable Order of Turtles
There is some debate of when, where and how the turtles came to be. But there has been reported sightings of hundrends & thousands of turtles reported across the United States since the early 1960's. They come from many different branches- mansons, Shriners, Hobos, Elks, Pilots, Fraternal organizations, Firemen, US Presidents, Dancers, Policemen, Good Old Boys Network, & Clowns- just to name a few- but all reconize each other with the same password. Always ask "Are you a turtle?" to find out who they are. You may know many without knowing it.
All members of this esteemed organization when asked, "Are You a Turtle?", must respond immediately without hesitation or fear of embarrassment, in a voice as loud and clear as the voice of the questioner: "You bet your sweet ass, I am" Failure to do so at anytime, will be penalized by having to buy a beer for everyone close enough to have heard the original question.
Here's the responses we had from our Classmates.
Eddie Zachary, Class of '69 - You bet your sweet ass I am. As legend goes the turtles were started in World War II by a group of southern fighter pilots to use to as a code during the war. They all figured any good southern boy owned a jackass so the answer became You bet your sweet ass I am. If I remember right if someone knew you were a turtle and ask you the question you had to answer not only the correct answer but also in the same volume of voice as they asked it.If not you owned them the beverage of their choice. Thanks for the memories and keep up the good work.
Darryl Glassco, Class of '65 -You best your Sweet Ass I am!
Bob Walker, Class of '64 -You bet your ass, I am.
The rest of you Turtles owe us all a drink.

We had some good responses and discussion earlier when we had the "Sea Hunt" mystery. One Classmate thought it would be interesting to try that again with a different TV show. Above are two clips from another popular black and white show of our earlier days. Can any of you identify the mystery people above? Please include your class year with your answer.
