I wanted to look deeper into Jim's new song so I went to several websites and finally found the one I was looking for. It is found at Tammy Cochran's management's web site, As Is Management Agency. I knew there had to be a story behind the song, and I found it there. There is also the complete music video of Tammy singing the song, and a short clip of her giving the background of the song in which she mentions Jim. Click on the links to the left to take you there. You need RealAudio or RealVideo to enjoy the clips, so I've added a link to allow you to download it if you don't have it. There is a free RealPlayer which is what you need. You do not have to pay for this one, but they have one that you can pay for if you want advanced features. Click here to download the free RealPlayer. You do have to give you e-mail address, but they only contact you when they have updated their player. Click here to get REALPLAYER.
Here's a quote from the Tammy Cochran Website
The debut album will contain "Angels in Waiting," a song Cochran wrote with Nashville veterans Jim McBride and Stuart Harris. The song is about her two older brothers, Shawn and Allan, who died of complications from cystic fibrosis. Cochran told label executives, "This song has got to be on there. I don't care if you like it or hate it, it's got to be on there."
I found the words to the song on the same site. I thought you might enjoy reading them.
Angels In Waiting
WE CAMPED OUT ON THE LIVIN' ROOM FLOOR IN OUR OLD SLEEPIN' BAGS BY A MAKE BELIEVE FIRE IN A TENT MADE OF COVERS WE'D TALK FOR HOURS MY TWO BROTHERS AND ME KEEPIN' THE FAITH RACING WITH DESTINY
THEY WERE ANGELS IN WAITING WAITING FOR WINGS TO FLY FROM THIS WORLD AWAY FROM THEIR PAIN TREASURING TIME TILL TIME CAME TO LEAVE LEAVING BEHIND SWEET MEMORIES
ANGELS IN WAITING ANGELS IN WAITING FOR WINGS THEY ALWAYS KNEW THEY'D NEVER GROW OLD SOMETIMES THE BODY IS WEAKER THAN THE SOUL IN THEIR DARKEST HOUR I MADE A PROMISE I WILL ALWAYS KEEP I'LL GIVE THEM LIFE I'LL LET THEM LIVE THROUGH ME
THEY WERE ANGELS IN WAITING WAITING FOR WINGS TO FLY FROM THIS WORLD AWAY FROM THEIR PAIN TREASURING TIME TILL TIME CAME TO LEAVE LEAVING BEHIND SWEET MEMORIES
ANGELS IN WAITING ANGELS IN WAITING FOR ME
